Chashi Skobac
sculptured seascape paintings

My ongoing series of sculptured paintings explore the patterns, movements

and forms of water, as well as its' interaction with the shore. These

creations result from original techniques I have developed over several

years.

In creating ripple, wave, and other water forms, I seek artistic techniques

and materials that both employ and emulate the forces of nature rather than

simply copy the subject matter.

Water and earth are two fundemental elements of our world and

connect to the most basic ideas of creation. Many of my works explore the

creation theme and reflect biblical concepts of the sea, and the shore as

shown by the titles I give to my work.

These seascapes relate to a previous series of my painting that explored the

image created by paint falling to a surface below. Again this series

explored how liquid interacts with a more solid matter. These painting also

express Jewish mystical concepts and can be viewed on this website.
